Welcome to Corsica

At each turn a new view is to be discovered and beyond each pass, another world…
If we go back a in history, May 15 1768 is a key date. By the treaty of Versailles, Genoa temporarily cedes the administration of Corsica to France. Louis XV, who purposely refuses to recognize the Corsican Republic as legitimate, sends his army for taking possession of the island.

Porto Vechio

Porto-Vecchio, the third Corsican city, is the first tourist resort in Southern Corsica thanks to its natural environment, its wilde choice of activities as well as its picturesque high town, surrounded by ramparts and very busy in summer. Close to Porto-Vecchio, the mountainous Alta Rocca as well as the needles of Bavella are worth a visit.

Porto Vechio

It bears its name: island of beauty. Heavenly beaches and mountains bristling with rocky peaks. Creeks surmounted by steep hills and tiny villages clinging to the mountain. Genoese towers laid on the sea and menhirs sleeping under the olive trees. Respect of the nature and Corsican art of living...

Bonifacio

Located at the southern tip of Corsica, Bonifacio occupies a special place in the landscape of the island of beauty, it is the most atypical city. Settled on its rocky promontory of white limestone sculpted by wind and spray, this sentinel city has been facing since the antiquity to the archipelagos of the Lavezzi and Cerbicales islands, famous for their seabed.

Bonifacio

From the sea, the upper town gives vertigo with its various old houses at the end of a cliff. The town is built as a fortress and divided into two parts: the marina with its port and the old town. The old town reveals many treasures to be discovered, such as the staircase of the King of Aragon, the Church of Saint Dominic, The paths of Round, the marine cemetery at the edges of the cliffs with a panoramic view on the sea and Sardinia. Bonifacio also presents a strong cultural attraction because it is the only Corsican town where several brotherhoods evolve during the religious processions of the Holy Friday.

The Corsica Maquis

Corsica, land of Napoleon, is the marriage of the sea and the sun, it is also the mountains overlooking the beaches, the famous maquis, the beautiful forests, torrents and mountain pastures …
